On 1 September, Pitelinskaya, Shatskaya and Kazachinskaya schools launched agriculture-focused courses aimed at introducing students to modern farming practices and preparing them for entering agricultural universities.
Stefan Duerr, President of EkoNiva Group, has taken part in the parliamentary hearings at the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, which were devoted to the federal budget for 2021 and the 2022-2023 planning period. Opening the hearings, Valentina Matviyenko, Chairperson of the Federation Council, paid special attention to Vladimir Putin’s mandatory to consider thorny social issues, including the development of rural areas. And that was the topic Stefan Duerr touched upon delivering his speech.
On September 24-27, Voronezh welcomed Garden City annual festival. Due to the coronavirus restrictive measures, a good deal of contests and masterclasses in landscape design and floristry were held online. However, some events took place outside — Novaya Usman village became a venue for an agricultural fair, a flower show and a gala concert.

Vladislav Shapsha, Acting Governor of Kaluga oblast, has paid a visit to Troitsky dairy in Khvastovichsky district, a part of Kaluzhskaya Niva farming enterprise. Mr. Shapsha also visited Penevichi residential complex being currently under construction.
From 28 to 30 August an annual Competition among the Employees of Voronezh Oblast took place in the regional centre. EkoNivaAgro staff got a marvellous opportunity to represent Liski district at the event. Much to everyone’s delight, the football team and the amateur kettlebell athletes returned back home with two sets of medals.
Process equipment for the cheese plant is being delivered to Maslyanino, Novosibirsk oblast. Tetra Pak team are all set to install it. The first batch of dairy products is expected to roll off the production line next year. Meanwhile, works are in full swing.
At the beginning of the academic year, Kursk State Agricultural Academy and EkoNiva launched a joint educational project, establishing an Interdepartmental Advanced Bachelor Course and a Specialised Applied Seed Breeding and Growing. All practical work within the framework of the project will be carried out on the premises of Zashchitnoye Operation (Kursk oblast, Schigry and Solntsevo districts).
Dmitriy Raev, Sales Director of EkoNiva Produkty Pitaniya, has participated in an online conference: The Effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic on Dairy Industry Leaders, which was hosted by RBC –Chernozemye Information Agency. The event was attended by Soyuzmoloko Director General Artyom Belov and PepsiCo Russia Communications Director Aleksander Kostikov.
In the framework of a working trip to Liski district, the Chairman of Voronezh Oblast Duma Vladimir Netyosov has paid a visit to Vladimirovka tie-stall dairy, one of EkoNivaAgro facilities, the reconstruction of which is nearing completion. Among the participants of the meeting also were Viktor Logvinov, Deputy Chairman of Voronezh Oblast Government, Igor Kirnos, Head of Liski district, Stefan Duerr, President of EkoNiva Group, and Aleksandr Rybenko, Regional Director of EkoNivaAgro for Voronezh oblast.
