EKONIVA Organic milk manufactured at the MosMedynagroprom processing plant in Kaluga oblast has received the People’s Choice Organic Brand title at the 5th National Organic Contest. The event was held under the auspices of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation and Russian Quality System (Roskachestvo), supported by the Organika foundation.

A total of 26 entries were submitted for the People’s Choice Organic Brand category. The winner was determined by a nationwide vote, which drew around 170,000 participants. Based on the results, the EKONIVA Organic line-up was recognised as the best.

The EKONIVA Organic range includes 3.3-6% fat whole pasteurised milk and 3.2% fat UHT milk. The production of the latter was launched in February 2022, making EkoNiva the first company in Russia to manufacture long-shelf-life organic UHT milk. The raw material comes from Savinskaya Niva, the Group’s organic dairy farm, which is also located in Kaluga oblast. The milk is transported in dedicated tanker trucks to avoid contact with conventionally produced milk. EKONIVA Organic is available in the company’s brand stores, major federal retail chains, marketplaces as well as on online platforms.

Both enterprises – Savinskaya Niva and MosMedynagroprom – hold certificates confirming their compliance with Russian and European organic production standards. The certificates were issued by Russian Quality System (Roskachestvo) and ECOGLOB, a company with over 20 years of experience in certification for the European market.
