Spring is coming

Press-centre / News,

While field works in Kaluzhskaya Niva are going ahead as planned, agronomists are waiting expectantly for rain as it is keeping off this season.

The farming company has completed the application of fertilisers to winter wheat which sprouted well last autumn. Now, the crop requires close attention and care. In Peremyshl and Kozelsk districts, 1,500 hectares of winter wheat has already been cultivated. Kaluzhskaya Niva’s specialists are doing their job in two shifts. In tandem with them, the agricultural machinery is giving a hundred and ten percent.

‘There are no setbacks to our work’, says Pyotr Evseyev, Chief Agronomist of Kaluzhskaya Niva-South Operation. ‘However, we are really looking forward to rain which is forecasted for this week in Kaluga oblast. The soil is being prepared and spring crops are being planted. Provided with the necessary personal protective gear, all the staff are following stringent safety precautions.’
