Stefan Duerr, President of EkoNiva Group, has participated in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF 2019) that commenced in the Venice of the North on 6th June. At the forum platforms, the head of the holding presided over a number of meetings, which ended up in three signed cooperation agreements.
Thus, Moscow Oblast Government entered into a contract for the construction of a plant producing soft cheeses, curds and whole-milk products in Stupino. The document was signed by Andrey Vorobyov, Governor of Moscow Oblast, and Stefan Duerr, President of EkoNiva Group. The total investment in the project implementation will amount to 36 billion rubles, and the plant will create 700 jobs. To provide the enterprise with milk, two new dairies will be built requiring investment of almost 6 billion rubles.
‘Last year, we concluded a contract for the construction of two dairies designed for 3,300 milking cows and we’ve already put the plan into action. The next step is to put up the largest dairy in Russia that will process 2,000 tonnes of milk per day’, says Stefan Duerr following up signature of the contract.
Nikolay Lyubimov, Governor of Ryazan Oblast, and Stefan Duerr concluded a variation agreement between Ryazan Oblast Government and OkoMoloko. It stipulates that there will be new dairies and other agricultural facilities in the region.
The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum hosted a signing ceremony, which marked the cooperation agreement between Otkrytiye Bank and EkoNiva Group. Stefan Duerr, President of EkoNiva Group, and Viktor Nikolayev, Executive Board Member of Otkrytiye Bank, signed the document. For EkoNiva Group, the partnership opens up the opportunity to take advantage of a vast range of Otkrytiye Group’s financial services and products, including financing of projects on new modern farms construction, financing of current activities, payroll programmes, insurance and other banking services. The agreement is concluded for 3 years.
Otkrytiye Bank is ranked in the top ten credit companies in the Russian Federation.
Over the course of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Stefan Duerr conducted a number of meetings with heads of the RF regions and chief executives of business companies. The participants outlined their visions for further development of dairy cattle farming and discussed other focal areas of the company business.
The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum has been organised since 1997, and since 2006 it has been held under the auspices of the President of the Russian Federation, who has also attended it. During this time, the forum has become a leading global platform for communication between business leaders and discussion of the key economic issues arising in Russia, emerging markets and the world as a whole. This year, the main events were staged from 6th to 8th June at Expoforum Convention and Exhibition Centre in St. Petersburg.
