The Governor of Krasnodar area wished EkoNiva luck in implementing the difficult, but important strategic plan of developing its own breeding programme.

‘For the first time, we are presenting soft winter wheat varieties Alekseyich and Grom. We produce them at our own seed farms, and we pay great attention to the seed quality. The exhibition guests showed great interest in the range of soybean varieties presented by EkoNiva-Semena. Growing soybeans is very profitable now, and one can see many soybean fields in Krasnodar area and other Russian regions.

‘Our company recommends an early maturing soybean variety OAC Prudence. After soybean, the fields become vacant early, so later one can use them, for example, for sowing wheat. We also recommend our customers Swiss soybean variety Turmalin. We sowed a trial site in Ust-Labinsk, Krasnodar area, and Turmalin showed good results, the yield amounted to 23.2 centner per hectare’, adds Willi Drews.

Farms in 12 Russian regions trust EkoNiva-Semena and buy its seeds without any doubts. The company ensures the quality by regular crop seed testing for the moisture content, purity and germinability. The company also has individual approach to each customer.

‘We have been working with EkoNiva-Semena for four years already, and we are very pleased with the results', says Dmitriy Filonov, Manager of a farm in Kursk oblast. ‘We usually purchase spring and winter wheat, also soybean OAC Prudence. This variety gives amazing yields, 30 centner per hectare. Soybeans cover 360 hectares this year, and we're planning to increase the coverage to 450 hectares.’

The use of high-quality seeds is one of the key factors for producing a good crop. And EkoNiva-Semena can provide a wide range of high-yielding, in-demand crop types and varieties. The company understands trends and is willing to share its knowledge with its customers.
